On February 20, 2025, Doggett tweeted about a significant resignation in New York City: "Top Republican prosecutor in NYC and six others resign in protest over the corrupt deal between Trump administration and Mayor Eric Adams. One said only a fool or coward would drop these charges. Corruption certain to become the Trump administration's trademark, just as it did…"

Later that day, he highlighted the dismissal of numerous National Park Service employees: "Trump fired about 1,000 national park service employees before a busy spring break, including EMTs & police officers to administrative & janitorial workers. With so many family visits impaired and so many adjacent communities crushed, when will Republicans find the courage to…"

Doggett also addressed the issue of tax law enforcement: "Continuing the work of Congressional Republicans—who have consistently voted to defund the IRS’s ability to enforce our tax laws for large corporations and the ultra-wealthy—Trump and the Musketeers this week are firing over 6,000 IRS employees responsible for tax collection…"
