Lloyd Doggett, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas's 37th district, has recently shared his views on various international and domestic issues through social media posts. Doggett, who has been serving since 1995 after replacing J.J. Pickle, expressed strong opinions on topics ranging from international diplomacy to cultural celebrations.

On February 18, 2025, Doggett criticized ongoing diplomatic efforts with Russia following its invasion of Ukraine. He remarked "With my name on the first sanctions legislation enacted against Russia for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, I view with complete disgust the ongoing bilateral appeasement meetings." Furthermore, he accused former President Trump of compromising American interests by stating "Trump is a complete sellout to Putin–abandoning efforts with our European allies to isolate Russia…"

On February 19, 2025, Doggett shared a personal experience involving cultural festivities. He noted "Libby and I took granddaughter Zayla to enjoy ringing in another Lunar New Year with Buddha’s Light International Association." He praised the organization as "A true force for good," highlighting their collaborations with local community leaders.

Later that day, Doggett addressed human rights concerns in Bangladesh based on findings from a UN mission. On February 19, he stated "The UN fact-finding mission in Bangladesh found 'rampant state violence and targeted killings' committed by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in her brutal response to student-led protests last year." He urged India to either return Hasina or seek action through international channels.
