Agriculture Appropriations Bill Advanced by Gonzales Secures Wins for TX-23 Farmers, Ranchers, and Rural Communities

The funding package includes $7 million in Community Project Funding spanning across South and West Texas and over $25 billion in funding that will aid landowners, ranchers, and rural communities across Texas’ 23rd Congressional District and the nation. Congressman Gonzales secured an amendment in the legislation to direct the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to reimburse landowners across the southern border for property damages relating to illegal migrant trespassing.
