On March 17, 2025, Casar criticized former President Donald Trump for allegedly using taxpayer money for personal leisure activities. "Donald Trump has spent $10 million of taxpayer dollars playing golf. But he wants to cut Social Security for seniors who worked their whole lives to earn $65 a day. Hell no."
Later that day, Casar addressed privacy concerns related to Elon Musk's ventures. He highlighted potential risks associated with access to sensitive information. "Social Security numbers. Private medical records. Notes from therapy sessions. All in databases that Elon Musk’s DOGE is trying to access. Protect Americans’ privacy. Fire Elon Musk."
On March 18, 2025, Casar accused Trump of unlawful actions benefiting wealthy individuals at the expense of accountability and fairness in business practices. "Trump is illegally firing the few people who are truly holding Musk, Zuckerberg, and Bezos accountable. The billionaires give Trump tons of cash.
