Joaquin Castro, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 20th district, has shared his views on current political and economic issues through a series of tweets. Known for his active participation in legislative matters since replacing Charlie Gonzalez in 2013, Castro's recent statements highlight his concerns about economic policies and community solidarity.

On March 6, 2025, Castro expressed concern over Republican actions regarding cryptocurrency, stating "Republicans are empowering DOGE to wreck the American economy."

Later that day, he reflected on past criticisms of former President Obama's policies and criticized the current business community's stance towards Donald Trump. He tweeted "Remember 2010/2011 when the corporate line against Obama was that his policies were creating 'uncertainty'? Well this is total chaos. Yet much of the business community tries to appease Trump rather than fight back." He urged business leaders to speak out against these developments.

On March 9, 2025, Castro attended a Town Hall meeting at Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio. He noted the sense of unity among attendees who voiced their concerns about the future. In his tweet, he stated "There was a powerful sense of solidarity during today's Town Hall at Our Lady of the Lake as we heard from veterans, students, seniors, & others who are worried about the future but ready to stand up for San Antonio, Texas and America." He thanked over a thousand participants for joining.
