Later that day, Doggett addressed issues related to Social Security and tax policies in another tweet. He criticized former President Trump and Elon Musk for making "false claims about Social Security," asserting that such statements sow doubt among Americans as the GOP aims to reduce this benefit in favor of tax breaks for billionaires. He referenced Austin veteran Daniel Santiago's situation as an example of how mass firings have jeopardized financial stability for some veterans: "Trump and Musk are punishing veterans to pay for billionaire tax breaks."
