Congressman Greg Casar has been vocal through a series of tweets addressing various issues involving prominent figures and governmental actions. On April 10th, Casar tweeted about insider trading following Trump's tariff news, presenting it as evidence of a widespread corruption issue within the Republican Party. In his post, Casar connected this issue to several policy changes, stating: "Musk, tax cuts, Medicaid cuts, tariffs— it’s all part of one story. Everything they do is designed to make Trump, Musk, and their billionaire buddies."

On April 11th, he directed his attention towards Elon Musk, who he claims has taken unprecedented influence over government affairs. Casar tweeted a succinct message stating, "Elon Musk has run our government for 80 days," and provided a link to a brief summary of Musk's actions during this period.

Later the same day, Casar's position on Musk was made unequivocally clear in a succinct tweet: "Fire Elon Musk."
