Lloyd Doggett, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 37th district, has shared his views on social media platform, X, concerning a range of political issues. Doggett, an active political figure since 1995, replaced J. J. Pickle and continues to serve with a focus on national matters.

In a post dated April 8, 2025, Doggett criticized former President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He stated, "Trump’s pal Putin, for whom he never has a harsh word, whose propaganda he repeats, who faced no Trump tariffs, launched a missile at a playground murdering nine Ukrainian children—the worst Russian attack on juveniles since the full-scale invasion began." Doggett highlighted the severity of the attack and underlined what he views as a passive stance by Trump toward Putin.

On the same day, Doggett addressed claims made by Elon Musk about Social Security. He posted, "Musk continues to promote lies to undermine Social Security, now trying to stir up anti-immigrant hysteria. The facts: only immigrants with work authorization receive Social Security Numbers and it’s so they can pay billions of tax dollars into the system, helping to support." Doggett's statement counters assertions by Musk regarding immigrants and their influence on Social Security.

Continuing his critique of Trump's policies, Doggett stated on April 9, 2025, that "Trump promised to lower prices on day one, but the only thing he is cutting is innovative research for new treatments and cures. My remarks on the need to stop the destruction of the research funded through the National Institutes of Health and to rein in the actual waste." This expresses Doggett's concern over funding cuts in medical research promised by Trump.
