Congressman Greg Casar, representing Texas’ 35th district, took to social media on April 8, 2025, to express his criticisms of various policies and actions associated with former President Donald Trump.

In one Twitter post from the 8th of April, Casar condemned Donald Trump's recent attendance at a fundraiser. He stated, "Donald Trump spent the weekend at a fundraiser with people who gave his Super PAC $1 million each. Billionaire donors get tax cuts. Trump gets millions. Everyone else gets screwed. Corruption, plain and simple."

Another post from the same day highlights Casar's concern regarding FEMA's budget decisions. He remarked, "FEMA just cut Austin's $50 million grant for flood prevention and disaster recovery. Trump and Musk think that money should go towards tax cuts for billionaires. Austinites shouldn't be at risk of raw sewage flooding our communities so billionaires can buy a bigger yacht."

In a subsequent post, Congressman Casar addressed what he perceives as a violation of human rights by the Trump Administration. On April 8, he wrote, "The Trump Administration has admitted that they illegally sent this man to a prison in El Salvador. They are still refusing to bring him back. He must be returned immediately. This is a threat to the rights of all Americans."
