On February 4, 2025, Doggett refuted claims regarding U.S. foreign assistance funding for condoms in Gaza. He stated that the "$50 million funding condoms in Gaza" was a myth perpetuated by what he described as America’s leading "make it up" artist. He further criticized former President Trump for allegedly claiming that Hamas used these condoms to make bombs. "Just another myth from America’s #1 'make it up' artist peddling more lies about U.S. foreign assistance."

Later on the same day, Doggett commented on an incident involving a billionaire gaining access to classified information at USAID headquarters after initially being denied entry. The congressman expressed concern over this event as indicative of an emerging path towards dictatorship in the United States. On February 5, 2025, Doggett joined colleagues and Ukrainians at the Capitol to express continued support for Ukraine's efforts amidst ongoing conflict. He challenged former President Trump's stance on Ukraine by contrasting two potential legacies: aiding Ukraine effectively or becoming known as "Trump the Great Appeaser."
