On December 3, 2024, he expressed satisfaction with joining local leaders in a community event. He noted that he was "Pleased to join @TravisCoJudge Andy Brown, County Commissioner Ann Howard, Travis County Dr. Medical Examiner J. Keith Pinckard, Austin Travis County EMS Chief Robert Luckritz, Assistant Chief Stephen White, Dr. Nicholas Yagoda with CommUnity Care, and Maggie Luna with Texas Harm..."

Later that day, Doggett announced a transition for one of his staff members. He stated that "Cecilie Juul Stensrud... will return home to become the State Secretary to the Minister of Defense." Doggett expressed gratitude for her contributions during her tenure as a visiting Fellow specializing in Foreign Affairs and Defense.
