SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS—Today, Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) expressed his support for the Supreme Court of the United States ruling in favor of allowing Texas Senate Bill 4 (SB4) to be enforced.

In a statement, Gonzales emphasized the frustrations of Texans with the Biden administration's border policies, stating, "Texans have had enough of the Biden administration’s failed open border policies—time and time again, his administration has put America last. I represent over 800 miles of the southern border—we are tired of the chaos, destruction, and death this border crisis has caused."

Gonzales highlighted the significance of SB4, noting that it will provide Texas with the means to address illegal immigration, a task he believes President Biden has neglected. He remarked, "SB4 will give Texas the ability to enforce against illegal immigration and do what President Biden refuses to do."

The Congressman praised the Supreme Court's decision on SB4, describing it as a crucial advancement in efforts to secure the southern border. Gonzales affirmed his solidarity with Texas as the state prepares to implement the legislation, stating, "Today’s ruling on SB4 by the Supreme Court is an important step forward in our fight to secure the southern border, and I stand by Texas as the state moves forward to enforce this legislation."
