San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is adding its 45th nonstop destination: Burbank, California. Southwest Airlines will start new service to Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) in June 2024.
“This is fantastic news for San Antonio,” said Jesus Saenz, Director of Airports, San Antonio Airport System (SAAS). “We have more options than ever before to take trips to fun and attractive locations – such as the Los Angeles region. Burbank is the closest LA-area airport to most of the region’s popular tourist destinations like Universal Studios Hollywood.”
Here are some key points about Southwest’s new nonstop service from SAT to BUR:
Southwest’s new service to Burbank adds to its existing service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which is also served by American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Spirit Airlines.Additionally, Southwest will increase service to Baltimore, Orlando and Phoenix. Daily service to Cancun and weekend service to Albuquerque will also return next summer.
