In a joint effort, Congressman Tony Gonzales of Texas and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida have called on President Biden to take action against foreign nationals who endorse or support Hamas or other Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs). The resolution introduced by Congressman Gonzales in the U.S. House of Representatives and the companion resolution introduced by Senator Rubio in the U.S. Senate aim to enforce existing laws and revoke the visas of individuals who sympathize with Hamas.

Congressman Gonzales emphasizes the importance of revoking the visas of supporters of terrorist organizations, stating, "Hamas attacks have claimed 30 American lives and more of our own are still missing. Hamas is a terrorist organization, any foreign national supporting Hamas or other Foreign Terrorist Organizations should have their visa terminated. It’s against the law to allow supporters of terrorism or terrorist groups to enter our country – it’s time for President Biden to enforce the laws we have on the books."

Similarly, Senator Rubio underscores the need to take decisive action against those promoting Hamas, stating, "It is a blessing to live in America and any individual that is promoting Hamas should have that privilege revoked. Republicans are united in calling on President Biden to enforce current law and revoke the visas of any foreign national who support Hamas or any other Foreign Terrorist Organization."

The resolution introduced by Congressman Gonzales and Senator Rubio calls on President Biden to enforce existing law by revoking visas and initiating deportation proceedings for foreign nationals who endorse the terrorist activities of Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, or other FTOs involved in terrorist attacks against Israel and US citizens. It also affirms that there is no equivalence between the terrorism of Hamas and its backers and the military actions taken by Israel in self-defense.

Furthermore, the resolution rejects anti-Semitism in all its forms and guises and honors the memory of those who lost their lives in the assault on Israel and the Jewish people on October 7, 2023. It serves as a reminder to never forget the unwarranted and unjustified attack.
