Cost of college went up for all students at St. Mary's University

Tuition and fees rose 4.6 percent for 2018-19 at St. Mary's University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas students paid $30,650 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,350 more than the $29,300 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 639 students received grants or scholarships totaling $14.2 million and 405 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,648), 2,143 students used grants or scholarships totaling $47.4 million, and 1,340 students took out $9.6 million in federal student loans.
