Lloyd Doggett, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 37th district, has recently shared his views on pressing political issues through a series of tweets. Known for his active engagement in public discourse, Doggett's comments span topics from international conflicts to domestic policies.

On March 23, 2025, Doggett expressed concern over the situation in Gaza. He stated that "Unjustified killing and devastation has resumed in Gaza." He further mentioned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's political maneuvers: "Attempting to fire his domestic security chief, avoid corruption trials, and secure his coalition before a key budget vote."

On March 24, 2025, Doggett commented on former President Donald Trump's economic policies. He remarked that "April 2, Trump is celebrating his 'Liberation Day' by raising prices for families with new taxes on imported goods to help finance more billionaire tax breaks." He referenced George Orwell's novel "1984," suggesting its themes are increasingly relevant: "War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength."

Later the same day, Doggett criticized Trump's immigration policies. He noted that "Trump's cruel catch-all approach to immigration is endangering lives." Specifically highlighting the case of "a 10-year-old Texas girl—and US citizen—with brain cancer," he accused Trump of denying lifesaving treatment to children in mixed-status families.
