Lloyd Doggett, a seasoned U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 37th district since 1995, has voiced his opinions on various political matters through recent tweets. Born in Austin, Texas in 1946 and educated at the University of Texas at Austin, Doggett has a long-standing career in politics. His recent social media posts highlight pressing issues concerning refugee funding, social justice, and privacy concerns.

On March 13, 2025, Doggett expressed his dissatisfaction with the current handling of refugee funding in Texas. He stated: "It is outrageous that Texas is the only state in the nation where Trump continues to wrongfully freeze refugee funding." In collaboration with Representatives Greg Casar and Julie Johnson, he is urging the administration to release $42 million owed to Texas nonprofit community service groups.

Later that day, Doggett acknowledged Raúl Grijalva's contributions as a leader on the Natural Resources Committee. He tweeted: "Raúl Grijalva was a powerful voice for Arizona and for people everywhere struggling for social justice and economic opportunity." He praised Grijalva's efforts to protect the environment and oppose exploitation of public natural resources.

On March 14, 2025, Doggett addressed privacy concerns involving Trump and Elon Musk accessing private data. He shared: "Achieving governmental efficiency should not require trampling on individual privacy." Emphasizing constituent concerns about data privacy, he mentioned his support from Democratic House Ways & Means colleagues to address these issues.
