Congressman Greg Casar, representing Texas’ 35th district, has taken to social media to express his discontent over recent actions by former President Trump and to promote an art competition for local high school students.

On March 28, 2025, Congressman Casar posted a tweet addressing a recent order by Trump. He labeled the event a "FIVE ALARM FIRE ALERT" and stated, "With this order, Trump is trying to destroy unions and labor rights as we have known them for 100 years." Casar referred to Trump's effort to end federal labor unions as "his most dangerous attack on working America."

Later the same day, Congressman Casar tweeted again about the executive order, referring to it as Trump's “DESTROY ALL LABOR UNIONS” order. He emphasized the need to "fight it with full force until it is gone for good," even if temporarily blocked by a judge.

On March 29, 2025, Congressman Casar shifted his focus to cultural events within his district. He invited high school artists from Texas' 35th district to participate in a "Congressional Art Competition," accepting submissions until April 11th. The winning student's artwork will be showcased in the US Capitol for a year.
