Lloyd Doggett, a seasoned politician serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 37th district, has shared his thoughts on recent political developments through a series of tweets. Doggett, who has been a member of Congress since 1995 and previously served in the Texas Senate, continues to be an active voice on social media.

On March 22, 2025, Doggett expressed concern over potential changes to federal education funding under former President Trump’s policies. "Trump seeks to destroy federal aid to education by transferring much of it to HHS, like the $17.6M in federal aid IDEA provides to children with disabilities in TX-37." He suggested that such moves could lead to more budget cuts under the guise of welfare reduction.

The following day, March 23, 2025, Doggett attended the SXSW International Breakfast in Austin. In his tweet about the event, he contrasted local success with national challenges facing American democracy under new administration policies. "Pleased to join SXSW International Breakfast. Always a great time to be in Austin, yet a very troubling time for American democracy."

Later that same day, Doggett commented on international matters regarding Israel's security and ongoing conflicts. He criticized actions perceived as prioritizing personal gain over regional stability. "…abandons the ceasefire, remaining hostages, Israel’s democracy, and regional long-term security for his own personal gain."
