Congressman Greg Casar, representing Texas’ 35th district since 2023, has taken to social media to express his concerns over the actions of Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Casar, who succeeded Lloyd Doggett in Congress and holds a BA from the University of Virginia, has been vocal about what he perceives as detrimental policies affecting working families.
On March 20, 2025, Congressman Casar tweeted about the long-term impact of policies associated with Trump and Musk. He stated: "Of all the ways Trump and Musk are stealing from working people, this may have the most dangerous long term impact. They are robbing our children to give tax cuts to billionaires. We must fight this with every legislative, legal, and public pressure tactic available."
Later that day, on March 20, 2025, he further criticized financial dealings involving Musk and Trump. Casar wrote: "Elon Musk gets massive tax cuts and $8 million a day from the government. Donald Trump gets $100 million from Elon Musk. Everyone else gets screwed."
On March 21, 2025, Congressman Casar accused the Trump administration of misinformation regarding cryptocurrency management to protect Elon Musk's interests. He declared: "The Trump administration is lying about who is running DOGE to insulate Elon Musk from accountability. This has to be exposed."
