Lloyd Doggett, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 37th district since 1995, has recently voiced his opinions on social media regarding various issues affecting the nation and international relations. Born in Austin, Texas, in 1946, Doggett has been an active political figure for decades.

On March 19, 2025, Doggett expressed concerns about staffing levels at the Social Security Administration prior to cuts made by former President Trump. He highlighted that "The Social Security Administration was at a 50-year staffing low before Trump cuts." He criticized Trump's proposal requiring Americans to seek customer assistance in person while simultaneously reducing staff and closing offices.

The following day, March 20, 2025, Doggett participated in an event at Saengerrunde Hall in Austin to mark the third anniversary of Ukraine's invasion. He joined Liberty Ukraine Executive Director Tonya Levchuk and Ukrainian combat veteran Constantantine Kalinovskiy. In his remarks, he stated "Joining Liberty Ukraine Executive Director Tonya Levchuk and Ukrainian combat veteran and volunteer Constantantine Kalinovskiy, I again spoke in support of Ukraine..."

Later on March 20, Doggett criticized Trump's approach to workforce reductions affecting military veterans. He noted that "Trump's slash-and-burn approach to mass firings has put more military veterans out of a job than any other president in American history." Doggett argued that these actions undermine national security by cutting top performers in critical sectors like missile defense and healthcare.
