There were 22 multiracial students enrolled in Harlandale ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 15.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Harlandale ISD schools welcomed 12,174 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 0.2% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Harlandale ISD roughly covers schools within Bexar County and has a main office in San Antonio.

Among the 28 schools in Harlandale ISD schools, McCollum High School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of four students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
