There were 42 white students enrolled in Promesa Academy Charter School District in the 2022-23 school year, 44.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Promesa Academy Charter School District welcomed 313 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 13.4% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Promesa Academy Charter School District roughly covers schools within Bexar County and has a main office in San Antonio.

Promesa Academy Charter School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 42 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
