There were 3,097 students enrolled in Brooks Academies of Texas in the 2022-23 school year, 1.4% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.9% of them were boys, and 49.1% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 82% of the Brooks Academies of Texas total enrollment.

Brooks Academies of Texas roughly covers schools within Bexar County with its main office in San Antonio.

Among the four schools in Brooks Academies of Texas, Brooks Collegiate Academy recorded the highest enrollment of 1,367 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
