There were 689 students enrolled in George Gervin Academy in the 2022-23 school year, 11.2% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.4% of them were girls, and 48.6% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 51.4% of the George Gervin Academy total enrollment.

George Gervin Academy roughly covers schools within Bexar County with its main office in San Antonio.

Among the two schools in George Gervin Academy, George Gervin Academy recorded the highest enrollment of 622 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
