Lloyd Doggett, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 37th district, has recently shared his views on several pressing issues through social media posts. Doggett, who has been in office since 1995 and previously served in the Texas Senate, uses his platform to address matters ranging from international democracy to local climate concerns and aviation safety.

On December 3, 2024, Doggett commented on political developments in South Korea. He stated that "Declaring martial law represents a dangerous departure from democracy. Wrongful imposition today by the president of South Korea is now being reversed within hours because of a strong expression of public protest and outrage." He emphasized the role of engaged citizens in protecting democratic values.

The following day, December 4, 2024, Doggett turned his attention to climate change issues affecting Austin. He noted that "While our six months of the hottest summer finally appear to have ended, new reports now indicate that we are experiencing the hottest fall on record in Austin." He warned about longer and hotter summers due to leaders' adherence to outdated energy policies.

On December 5, 2024, Doggett addressed aviation safety concerns related to Austin's airport. He highlighted his ongoing efforts by stating: "For over a year, I've been urging the FAA to prioritize our Austin airport for more air traffic controller recruits and more tools for their use." With increased holiday travel underway, he reiterated his commitment to ensuring traveler safety.
