Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 85.7% of Prelude Preparatory Charter School District's student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 84 Hispanic students enrolled in Prelude Preparatory Charter School District in the 2022-23 school year, 211.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Prelude Preparatory Charter School District welcomed 98 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 85.7% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Prelude Preparatory Charter School District roughly covers schools within Bexar County and has a main office in San Antonio.

Prelude Preparatory Charter School was the only school in the district which enrolled Hispanic students, welcoming 84 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
