SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) will host a public input meeting to gather feedback for the upcoming major renovation and expansion of the Carver Branch Library. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 8 at 6 p.m. at Second Baptist Church (3310 E. Commerce St., 78220).
“Community input is vital to the success of this major renovation to the Carver Branch Library. We recognize the importance of library users and residents having a voice in the decision-making process for this important project,” said SAPL Director Ramiro Salazar. “This meeting is a critical first step for creating a collective vision for an aspirational library building for our entire community in the heart of the east side.”
The $12.5 million renovation and expansion to the Carver Branch Library was approved by voters in the passage of the 2022 City of San Antonio Bond Program. The renovation project will create attractive, user-friendly spaces designed to respond to the needs of the Carver Branch Library community, enhancing existing areas of the library and introducing new resources.
