Candidates for the San Antonio's Climate Action and Adaptation Plan Technical and Community Advisory Committee and Climate Equity Advisory Committee have been approved by the City Council.
The slate will also include two extra seats to be held by representatives from the energy and automotive industries and a research partner from Southwest Research Institute, according to the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.
"Ensuring development and implementation of sound, forward-thinking policies that promote economic growth and job creation remain a top priority for our organization," the chamber said in the press release. "We believe the business community plays a vital role in helping to create a more resilient and sustainable community. That is why we are pleased that these three community leaders have been selected to represent the business community."
Candidates were chosen through collaborative work between the chamber and business representatives in the energy and automotive industries to ensure the representatives understand climate mitigation, industry investments and advancements in technology.
