On April 15 and 16, 2025, Congressman Greg Casar posted a series of tweets addressing constituents in Texas' 35th district, news involving a whistleblower, and critiques concerning former President Donald Trump. Casar, a member of the U.S. Congress since 2023, replaced Lloyd Doggett and resides in Austin, Texas.

In one of his tweets on April 15, Casar invited his followers to participate in a town hall in San Antonio scheduled for April 19 at 9:30 AM. He stated, "Join me for a San Antonio Town Hall on April 19 at 9:30 AM! I want to hear from you. Let’s talk about how we can work together to protect our communities. Later that evening, Casar shared information regarding a whistleblower claim allegedly involving Musk's DOGE. He tweeted, "NEWS: According to a whistleblower, Musk's DOGE stole 'sensitive information on unions, ongoing legal cases and corporate secrets' then tried 'to cover their tracks.' The right wing is not about efficiency. They just steal from all of us to benefit themselves."

In a tweet posted on April 16, Congressman Casar criticized former President Trump, focusing on promises related to economic issues. He wrote, "Remember when Trump said he would lower prices and raise wages? He lied. He only cares about making money for his billionaire buddies and political donors. Trump isn't fighting for working families — on Tax Day, or any other day."

In additional context, Greg Casar graduated from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a BA and currently represents Texas' 35th congressional district.
