Joaquin Castro, currently representing Texas's 20th District in the U.S. Congress, has made a series of public statements addressing matters of interest through his Twitter account. These tweets range from international agreements involving the U.S. government to local community events in San Antonio where he resides.

On April 14, 2025, Castro posted about efforts to obtain information regarding certain international agreements, stating, "My colleagues and I have made multiple inquiries demanding the details of these agreements and information on how the U.S. is paying the government of El Salvador to detain people on our behalf."

The same day, Castro highlighted the legal responsibilities of the State Department to keep Congress informed. He remarked, "The State Department is obligated, by law, to report such agreements to the Congress. They have not yet done so."

On April 15, 2025, Castro announced a local community service initiative in San Antonio. He invited the public to attend a Travel Fair, noting, "San Antonio: My office is hosting a Travel Fair on Saturday, April 26th. During the fair, you can apply for a passport, enroll in TSA Pre-Check, or interview for Global Entry. The Travel Fair is open to the public but appointments are required. To reserve your spot, please call."

Joaquin Castro has served in the U.S. Congress, representing Texas`'s 20th District, since 2013. He previously served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2003 to 2013.
