Greg Casar, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 35th district since 2023, recently shared his perspectives on social media regarding several political issues. His statements touched upon Republican narratives, the role of independent public servants, and allegations of corruption involving former President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk.

On January 30, 2025, Casar criticized Republican officials for allegedly misrepresenting facts to the public. He stated that their narrative is oversimplified: "Republican officials are lying but their story is simple: 'Your problems are caused by immigrants, or people who look and live differently.'" Casar discussed strategies for Democrats to counter this narrative and unite citizens around improving wages in an interview with NPR.

In another tweet on the same day, Casar directed followers to his full conversation with NPR’s Steve Inskeep. He posted a link to access the complete interview: "My full conversation with @NPR’s @NPRInskeep here:"

The following day, January 31, 2025, Casar accused former President Donald Trump of unlawfully dismissing independent public servants tasked with uncovering corruption. One such official was reportedly investigating Elon Musk. Casar alleged collusion between Republican officials and billionaires aiming to establish a corrupt administration: "Trump illegally fired 17 independent public servants whose job is to expose corruption."
