He stated, "Tomorrow, Trump and Musk plan to lay off half of the staff at the Department of Education. Their goal is to completely abolish it. They are stealing from our children to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. Stop firing people who serve our children. Fire Elon Musk."
The following day, March 12, 2025, he commented on a related issue concerning fiscal policy. In two separate posts made simultaneously, he remarked that "Senate Democrats passing the Republican spending plan would enable this."
