Congressman Greg Casar, representing Texas' 35th district since 2023, has recently expressed his concerns over proposed staffing changes at the Department of Education and the implications of a Republican spending plan. His remarks highlight significant political and economic issues currently under discussion.

On March 11, 2025, Congressman Casar shared his views on an anticipated reduction in staff at the Department of Education. He stated, "Tomorrow, Trump and Musk plan to lay off half of the staff at the Department of Education. Their goal is to completely abolish it. They are stealing from our children to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. Stop firing people who serve our children. Fire Elon Musk."

The following day, March 12, 2025, he commented on a related issue concerning fiscal policy. In two separate posts made simultaneously, he remarked that "Senate Democrats passing the Republican spending plan would enable this." The same message was reiterated in another post with a different link: "Senate Democrats passing the Republican spending plan would enable this."
