There were 75 African American students enrolled in Essence Preparatory Charter School District in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Essence Preparatory Charter School District welcomed 103 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 72.8% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Essence Preparatory Charter School District roughly covers schools within Bexar County and has a main office in San Antonio.

Essence Preparatory Charter School was the only school in the district which enrolled African American students, welcoming 75 students in the 2022-23 school year.
