How many students were enrolled in Jubilee Academies in 2022-23 school year?

There were 6,192 students enrolled in Jubilee Academies in the 2022-23 school year, 7.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.4% of them were girls, and 49.6% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 86.8% of the Jubilee Academies total enrollment.

Jubilee Academies roughly covers schools within Bexar County with its main office in San Antonio.

Among the 13 schools in Jubilee Academies, Jubilee San Antonio recorded the highest enrollment of 1,010 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
