SOUTH SAN ANTONIO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT: Palo Alto E-S student wins district-wide Christmas card contest

South San Antonio Independent School District issued the following announcement.

The artwork of a Palo Alto Elementary School fifth-grader will be featured on this year’s South San Antonio District School Christmas card after he was selected as the district-wide Christmas card winner. 

Superintendent Marc Puig stopped by Palo Alto E-S to congratulate Braylon Martinez Wednesday morning. Martinez was also his school’s Christmas card winner. His creation features Santa Claus flying over homes delivering gifts to all the children of the world. 

The fifth grader’s work is among the talented entries from the district’s elementary, middle and high schools. Each student was selected as the winner at their school from the many entries submitted on their campus.  

The elementary school Christmas card winners include: 

  • Naylan Esparza, Armstrong E-S fifth grade
  • Vivian Hernandez, Athens E-S fifth grade
  • Ariana Rivera Espinoza, Carrillo E-S third grade
  • Caylynn Dane, Five Palms E-S fifth grade
  • Esma Martinez, Hutchins E-S third grade
  • Camila Torres, Kindred E-S second grade
  • Navea Camacho, Madla E-S fourth grade
  • Alexandra Allison, Price E-S fifth grade
  • Alexa Macias, Benavidez E-S fifth grade
The middle school Christmas card winners include:

  • Karolyn Pierce, Shepard M-S sixth grade
  • Kelly J. Lopez, Dwight M-S sixth grade
  • Alyssa Resendez, Kazen M-S seventh grade 
  • Deveni Solis, Zamora M-S seventh grade
The high school Christmas card winner is:

  • Isela Macias Sosan, South San High School ninth grade
Christmas cards with each student’s creation will be printed and sent out this holiday season. Congratulations to all of the winners!
