Representative Chip Roy of Texas has issued a statement marking the third anniversary of the Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade. The statement reflects on the significance of the Supreme Court’s ruling and its impact.

“Today, we commemorate the historic and righteous decision by the United States Supreme Court in Dobbs, overturning the grave injustice of Roe v. Wade,” said Rep. Roy.

He noted the lives affected by Roe v. Wade, stating, “As we mark this anniversary, we remember some 60 million lives lost under the shadow of Roe and reaffirm our commitment to defending the sanctity of every human life.”

Rep. Roy emphasized that efforts must continue beyond this ruling: “The fight is far from over. We must continue working — in Congress, in our states, and in our communities — to build a culture that unabashedly protects life, supports mothers, and upholds the dignity of every human being, including the unborn.”
