Rep. Pat Fallon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 4th district, shared his views on the challenges posed by China’s advancements and the necessary steps for the United States to maintain its strategic edge. Fallon, who replaced John Ratcliffe in 2021, has a background that includes service in both the Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate.
On June 11, 2025, Rep. Pat Fallon tweeted about China’s progress in utilizing artificial intelligence within warfare: “AI is reshaping warfare, and China is capitalizing on it. From autonomous drones to cyber ops, our greatest adversary is advancing quickly. We must double down on AI innovation, secure our supply chains, and protect our data. We cannot afford to let the CCP dominate this space.”
Later that day, Fallon expressed concerns regarding U.S. shipbuilding capabilities compared to China’s naval expansion: “US shipbuilding is lagging, and China’s massive naval buildup is outpacing us. We must invest in our shipyards, streamline regulations, and boost workforce training. Restoring our maritime edge is CRITICAL to deter aggression in the Pacific and protect our interests.”
In a subsequent tweet on June 11th, he highlighted potential threats from China towards Taiwan by 2027: “China is eyeing Taiwan by 2027, threatening regional security. We must bolster our shipbuilding industry— invest in our workers, cut red tape, and secure our supply chains. It’s crucial we act NOW to restore our industrial might and deter CCP aggression.”
Pat Fallon’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame.
