Rep. Pat Fallon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 4th district, criticized Democratic lawmakers in a series of posts on March 11, 2026, focusing on their reactions to traditional steak and lobster meals served to deployed U.S. troops.

In one post, Fallon stated, “Democrats have lost the plot so badly due to their TDS that they’re now mad that we serve (as tradition) our troops steak and lobster on deployment. This is what happens when you wake up and decide to hate America for too many hours each day.” (March 11, 2026).

Minutes later, he added another comment targeting Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer: “While refusing to fund the Department of Homeland Security, Chuck Schumer also thinks it’s bad that U.S. troops get to eat steak & lobster during deployment. He thinks that money should go towards Dems’ failed healthcare scheme that actually makes healthcare more expensive.” (March 11, 2026).

Fallon continued his criticism with a third post: “The party of Quality Learing Center is upset that we are buying steak and lobster for our troops.” (March 11, 2026).

Pat Fallon has represented Texas’s 4th District in Congress since replacing John Ratcliffe in 2021. Before joining Congress, he served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019 and then in the Texas Senate from 2019 to 2021. In recent elections, Fallon secured victories over Simon Cardell in 2024 with nearly two-thirds of the vote; Iro Omere in 2022; and Russell Foster in 2020 by substantial margins.

Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in 1967, Fallon is currently a resident of Frisco.
