Rep. Chip Roy Press Office, representing Texas’s 21st district in the U.S. Congress, published a series of statements on July 22, 2025, addressing federal spending and immigration policy.

In a post at 15:06 UTC, Roy’s press office called for fiscal restraint: “Cut wasteful spending. Pass more rescissions packages. Answer the mandate given by the American people.”

Later that day at 18:13 UTC, the office took a firm stance on immigration enforcement, writing: “Good. Ditch amnesty and enforcement restrictions. Double down on mass deportations.”

A third statement at 19:05 UTC cited polling data regarding public opinion on amnesty for undocumented immigrants: “NEW: 77% of likely American voters believe ‘it is neither fair nor right’ for the federal government to give amnesty to a particular subset of illegal aliens. A majority of the American people voted for the rule of law, which means REJECTING amnesty.”

Chip Roy has served in Congress since 2019, succeeding Lamar Smith as representative for Texas’s 21st District. Born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972 and currently residing in Austin, Roy holds degrees from both the University of Virginia and the University of Texas-Austin.
