Rep. Chip Roy Press Office has announced a series of statements and legislative actions focusing on organizations like CAIR, the vetting process for immigrants, and efforts to expand denaturalization policies.

On May 8, 2026, the office posted that Rep. Roy would hold a hearing to examine certain organizations’ influence in the United States: “NEW: Rep. Roy to hold hearing examining how CAIR and similar organizations are promoting Sharia law, threatening our Constitution and way of life.

“‘Sharia law has no place in the United States, and these hearings are about exposing it, defending the rule of law, and protecting”.

Later that day, Rep. Roy addressed concerns regarding immigrant vetting processes: “You have thousands of people who are brought here, who are not properly vetted, and who frankly lied in their application process.

These are people that ought to be removed.

I think they’re going to call this D-Day for denaturalization.” (May 8, 2026).

On May 11, 2026, he announced new legislative efforts targeting individuals accused of promoting “Islamification” or Marxism in America: “I introduced a bill called the MAMDANI Act to expand denaturalizations towards people proliferating the Islamification of America and Marxism broadly. And I think we ought to expand the tools for the Executive Branch to be able to do it.” @WillCainShow.
