Rep. Chip Roy Press Office released a series of statements on July 18, 2025, highlighting legislative actions and policy positions taken by Rep. Chip Roy, who represents Texas’s 21st district in the U.S. Congress.

In a statement regarding digital assets legislation, Rep. Roy said, “Today, House Republicans took a significant step forward to provide a market framework to ensure that Americans can innovate with cryptocurrencies. I supported H.R. 3633, the CLARITY Act, to allow such innovation” (July 18, 2025).

Addressing fiscal issues in another post from the same day, Rep. Roy stated, “Fact of the matter is, what they [Democrats] don’t want to do is have the American people focusing on the Republicans in Congress who are doing the thing they sent us here to do which is end wasteful spending. To stop the ridiculous spending of a bureaucratic” (July 18, 2025).

On proposed cuts to public radio funding, Rep. Roy commented, “We’re going to save money for the American people and end the absurdity of this leftist propaganda being put out under public radio.” (July 18, 2025).

Rep. Chip Roy has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Lamar Smith and currently resides in Austin. He was born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972 and holds degrees from both the University of Virginia and the University of Texas-Austin.
