Rep. Chip Roy Press Office has issued several statements on social media addressing immigration policy and infrastructure concerns in Texas.

On April 15, 2026, the office posted: “This discharge petition is yet another attempt to shield TPS-holding illegal aliens from removal, including dangerous criminals, obstructing the Trump administration’s rightful efforts to restore the rule of law.”

Later that day, another post referenced local environmental issues: “Last month, Rep. Roy submitted a public comment urging the Public Utility Commission of Texas to select a final route that avoids the pristine Texas Hill Country.

On April 16, 2026, the office cited reporting by The Daily Signal: “.@DailySignal: ‘Members of the House Freedom Caucus are urging colleagues to oppose extending Temporary Protected Status for Haitian migrants ahead of a final House vote Thursday, citing concerns about public safety.

Chip Roy has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 21st District since 2019 after succeeding Lamar Smith. He has won multiple elections in this district; most recently in 2024 he defeated Kristin Hook with nearly 62% of the vote. In previous cycles he also prevailed over Claudia Zapata (2022), Wendy Davis (2020), and Joseph Kopser (2018).
