Rep. Chip Roy Press Office, representing U.S. Congressman Chip Roy of Texas’s 21st District, issued a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from religious expression to immigration policy and legislative gridlock.

On May 26, 2026, Rep. Roy stated, “These are the most important times we have faced in Texas since 1836 because the march of Islam is real. We’ve got people in this country that are now wanting us to stop ringing church bells in favor of having Muslim prayer calls pointing towards Mecca.”

Later that day, he commented on legislative efforts regarding border security, “We drafted the SAVE America Act and now we’ve got it through the House THREE times, and the Senate refuses to move it, hiding behind 60 votes, hiding behind the parliamentarian. This is what they do. We know that there’s a path to passing it. They refuse to take it.”

On May 27, 2026, Rep. Roy addressed immigration enforcement at the southern border, “90% of illegal aliens at the border were RELEASED under Biden through ILLEGAL mass parole. President Trump has stopped this absurdity by ENDING catch-and-release.”

Chip Roy has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 21st District since replacing Lamar Smith in 2019 and has won multiple general elections against Democratic challengers including Kristin Hook (2024), Claudia Zapata (2022), Wendy Davis (2020), and Joseph Kopser (2018).
