In another tweet regarding immigration reform legislation posted on March 13, Rep. Roy’s office stated: “Yes, we do.

Chip Roy has represented Texas’s 21st District in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after replacing Lamar Smith (source). He has secured his seat through multiple election cycles against opponents including Kristin Hook (2024), Claudia Zapata (2022), Wendy Davis (2020), and Joseph Kopser (2018). His electoral victories have ranged from narrow wins in earlier races to more decisive margins in recent years.
