Chip Roy is currently serving as a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’s 21st District since replacing Lamar Smith in 2019. Born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972 and now residing in Austin, Roy holds degrees from both the University of Virginia (BS) and University of Texas-Austin (JD).
