In an appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box reported via tweet on May 22 as well, Rep. Roy mentioned progress in negotiations with the White House over support for non-expansion states under Obamacare: “We moved the needle a lot in the last 72 hours. We got pretty firm commitments yesterday from the White House in the form of legislative language to help the non-expansion states under Obamacare get some additional support to try to prevent the pressure.”
