Rep. Chip Roy, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 21st District, posted a series of statements on social media criticizing immigration policies and highlighting the growth of the Sharia-Free America Caucus.

On April 16, 2026, Rep. Roy stated, “I am sick and tired of people coming to our country, undermining our security and our freedom, taking advantage of our goodwill, and Democrats are on the floor saying we need to have hundreds of thousands more people come here. It’s outrageous. This is supposed to be a”.

The following day, on April 17, he referenced a violent incident in Florida involving an immigrant: “You know who else was fleeing danger? An innocent mom in FL just last week, who was brutally bludgeoned to death by a Haitian with a hammer outside of a convenience store here because of Biden and on TPS.”

Later that day, Rep. Roy also commented on the expansion of a Congressional caucus: “Rep. Roy and @RepKeithSelf’s Sharia-Free America Caucus has now grown to 65 members and counting.

These Members of Congress play a critical role in warning Americans about the dangers of Sharia law and taking action to stop Islamism in its tracks.

Keep America Sharia free. “

Chip Roy has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Lamar Smith as representative for Texas’s 21st District. He has won multiple elections since then: defeating Joseph Kopser in 2018 with 50.2% of the vote; Wendy Davis in 2020 with 52%; Claudia Zapata in 2022 with nearly 63%; and Kristin Hook in 2024 with almost 62% support.
