Chip Roy has represented Texas’s 21st District in Congress since replacing Lamar Smith in 2019. He was born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972 and currently resides in Austin at age 50. Roy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia (1994) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas-Austin (2003).
