Rep. Chip Roy Press Office, representing Texas’s 21st District in the U.S. Congress, published a series of posts addressing Memorial Day, legislative gridlock in the Senate, and concerns over infrastructure strain from data centers.
On May 25, 2026, Rep. Roy’s office posted a message commemorating Memorial Day: “Today, we honor the brave Americans who gave their lives for our freedom. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. May God bless our fallen heroes and the United States of America. #MemorialDay https://t.co/EvbNb8X6U3”
The following day, on May 26, 2026, Rep. Roy criticized Senate inaction regarding his proposed legislation: “Rep. Roy: ‘The Senate is NOT doing what it’s supposed to do. I’m the lead author of the SAVE America Act. It’s been stalled in the Senate now for five or six months with no real strategy or plan to move it, other than just offering excuses.’ @FoxNews https://t.co/HulLN3bTQ5”
Also on May 26, Rep. Roy addressed concerns about data centers impacting local resources: “Drought-stricken communities across Texas have every right to be concerned about massive data centers moving in and straining our energy grid and water supply. That’s why Rep. Roy introduced the POWER Act to get a full accounting of how much energy and water these facilities”
Chip Roy has served as the representative for Texas’s 21st District since 2019 after succeeding Lamar Smith.1 He has won several consecutive elections: defeating Joseph Kopser in 2018 by a narrow margin; Wendy Davis in 2020; Claudia Zapata in 2022; and Kristin Hook most recently in 2024.23456
